CBORD Web-based System Simplifies Menu Planning
For Immediate Release
October 1, 2001Ithaca, New York—CBORD’s suite of web-based foodservice tools now includes NetMenu, a web-based application designed to simplify the work of the multiunit foodservice manager and support a centralized database approach.
With NetMenu you can create recipes, get nutritional data, set prices and view costs, forecast sales, make shopping lists, manage inventory, and create production and costing worksheets. “It’s easy to access and easy to use,” says Tim Tighe, vice president of foodservice management systems at CBORD. “And it provides better control for the corporate office, too.”
NetMenu simplifies the unit manager’s work in several ways. A database containing recipes, portion sizes, and costs is created at the corporate office and accessed from the units, where easy access simplifies daily work and gets them up and running fast. The production and costing worksheet features also help to simplify by making centralized menu planning easier and smarter.
NetMenu is also a flexible tool. Using NetMenu, unit managers can create local recipes based on the corporate database, making locally-appropriate decisions and responding to local demands. And NetMenu helps managers make more informed decisions and get better results, too, displaying costs and sell prices during menu planning.
NetMenu is just one of a suite of products developed by CBORD to provide foodservice management capabilities delivered over the web. Please contact FMS Sales at 607.257.2410 for more information, or visit www.cbord.com.
