CBORD Restructures for Improved Service to Hospitality

November 6, 2000Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., has appointed Harvey P. Kamp to National Market Manager, Retail Systems. Mr. Kamp will be focusing on CBORD clients including The Hard Rock Café, Grotto Pizza, Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Restaurants, Wild Oats Supermarkets, Rice Epicurean, and on new prospects similar to these organizations, spearheading CBORD’s efforts to serve the multi-faceted hospitality market.

"Today we’re bringing our solutions to the commercial market. We now have a substantial presence in that sector and we’re demonstrating that we can make retail clients successful too."
Harvey Kamp is a graduate of the Penn State School of Hotel, Restaurant and Recreation Management (FSHA, ‘70) and serves as vice-president of the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society, an affiliate program group of Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development’s Alumni Society. In addition to Kamp, CBORD’s retail market team includes Jack Hayes and J.B. Lockwood. A graduate of Cornell, Hayes provided systems training and implementation guidance for CBORD clients before taking his current role as National Account Representative. Lockwood, a graduate from the Cornell Hotel School, serves as Project Manager. His extensive foodservice experience includes co-owning a Manhattan Bagels franchise, serving as a perishable foods coordinator for Wegmans Food Markets, and 10 years in the hotel and full service restaurant businesses. Rounding out the team is Ron Provus, Managing Director of CaterMate. CaterMate, a company acquired by CBORD in 1998, has been serving the catering and event planning market for nearly twenty years.
